Generous in size and hefty, at over 20 grams, this imposing fob of 14k gold and carnelian takes the form of a fierce and powerful wild boar’s head.

Realistically, it depicts only the animal’s head but that is more than enough. Every hair, muscle, and tendon, along with the ears, tusks, teeth, and snout come to life.

Even the interior of the mouth and underside of the head was thought out, carved to perfection, and detailed.

Two tiny cabochon rubies serve as eyes to the boar. Certainly, one of the best animal fobs that we have had the pleasure to represent in every aspect including scale and realism, just superb.

The base is a polished cinnamon-hued carnelian agate. An antique fob worthy of the best collection. Just gazing at him makes you feel the energy of the wild.
