WHAT WE LOVE:

Based in Japan, Minase is one of a select group of watchmakers worldwide who use the Zaratsu polishing method. This method takes a lot of time and dexterity but the ultimate aim is to give the appearance of some angles of the watch being black in certain lights. This watch is truly fascinating, the case is a marvel and the dial is quite unlike anything Ive ever seen before.

This watch, in this colour was the choice of late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who was a head of state with a penchant for watch collecting, having been seen wearing Omega, Seiko, and Grand Seiko before donning this watch and accelerating it from relative obscurity to popularity both in Japan and Worldwide.
