The name of the watch is a tribute to the Venetian submarine Nereide, a Nautilus class submarine built in the Arsenale between 1911 and 1915 and commissioned to the engineer De Bernardis of the Royal Navy. The watch is inspired by the design of World War I submarines and withstands a pressure of 20 atmospheres.

The MV295 movement, developed on a Landeron 24 basis, is a caliber of unquestionable quality, which has several functions, includingbi-directional charge,machine stopisGMT function.

The acronymGMTstands for“Greenwich Mean Time”and the function indicates the current local time in another time zone.
