Gold of 18k fineness has a certain depth of coloration and richness to its surfaces.

Victorian in date, ten alternating links and a decorative clasp begin with a tubular oval. Atop these are alternating designs of a beehive of twisted gold wire. A six-petaled flower with granulation and wire work adorn the others.

A smaller beehive rests atop the clasp. Particularly special, the bracelet was hand engraved the date it was presented, “R’d 210962” for the European notation of dates with the day first. So, 21st of September, 1862.
