Sapphires that exhibit this beautiful flow of color are never heated; once heated, that property is negated.

From the Art Deco period, we have this striking two-tone ring set with a sapphire and with accent rose-cut diamonds. Resting low on the finger, it is truly OOAK with sweeping, open, arched sides.
