From the maker of Allsopp Brothers, formerly active in Newark, N.J., and active from the beginning and early part of the 1900s, comes this carved coral, enamel and gold ring.

During the roaring 1920s, all manner of exotic influences entered the hearts, minds and design sensibilities of the arts, including decorative as well as performing and fine arts.

Coral, likely carved in China, forms an oval plaque with three lyrical blossoms, each with three plump petals. Perhaps they represent orchids.

Enamels of opaque lavender and translucent orange red are blocked in on each shoulder. Two vertical channels decorate the sides and transition to a smooth shank, the mounting is 14k yellow gold.
