Superlative in every aspect, this fine 18k yellow gold pendant is typical of the Art Nouveau and Edwardian periods.

A spaniel dog’s head faces right. Its ears are sculpted to reflects its long, silken and lustrous ears. Its eye gazes intently to the side; the brow pert; the nose and jaw reflect the artistry of the original creator.

It is framed with rococo open-work swirls. Below is a flower centered in another swag of modeled gold. Above its head is a natural old European cut diamond.

Two leafy vines swoop upward to joint to form the loop for the top fitting.
